The SafeAgroBee project (funded by Prima) was present in the Second symposium of the International Union for the Study of Social Insects, held online on the 14th December 2023.
The symposium provided a platform for researchers and experts to share insights, and our project was represented by our partners Adjlane Noureddine and Haider Yamina from The Department of Agronomy, Faculty of Sciences at M’hamed Bougara University in Boumerdes, Algeria. Their engaging presentation, titled “Climatic Changes: A Challenge to Pollination,” delved into the SaveAgroBee PRIMA project’s apple pollination experiments, highlighting the profound effects of climate on pollination in Algeria over a span of two years. This research underscores the crucial intersection between climatic shifts and pollination processes, emphasizing the significance of our ongoing efforts in the realm of agricultural sustainability.
